9-Man Volleyball Tournament on H Street in D.C.'s Chinatown, ca. 1983. This gritty street game played on asphalt by Chinatown restaurant and laundry workers in the early twentieth century has since evolved into a unique and fast-paced sport tying generations of Chinese Americans together across the United States.
